The 2021 RISD cycling season kit was designed and produced by the co-captains Mason Menaker (me) and Alex Wu. Inspiration was drawn from the classic RISD Cycling pink and blue traditional team colors and incorporates the local Providence team sponsors
Design
The RISD 2021 cycling team kit is a modern and refined spin on the flamboyant RISD cycling spirit and past team kits. Using a natural gradient in the jersey allows for a seamless transition to the dark blue in the bibs. Both the type logo and emblem logo are plastered large on the back, arms, and legs of the kit, keeping in line with RISD's ostentatious nature.
Software
Process began in Photoshop to create the color flats, illustrator to create technical drawings, and Clo3D to visualize design in 3D
Manufacturing
Production of Jerseys was outsourced to Brazil using Hincapie's custom kit program
By really focusing emphasis on the pink and white emblem logo on the back, we allow the kit to stand out in any environment and also give the team a way to truly feel the RISD spirit.
